Overview
C-CIARN Coastal Zone was created in recognition that the coastal zone is considered uniquely vulnerable, in its position at the land-sea interface, to small changes in sea or lake levels, changes in wave climate and changes in storm-surge potential. During its operation, this C-CIARN office, often in collaboration with other C-CIARN offices (eg. C-CIARN Fisheries, C-CIARN Atlantic) and various other organizations, coordinated workshops across Canada to bring researchers and stakeholders together to focus on climate change impacts and adaptation in a coastal zone context.
